What it does for you in the aisle

Not sure what golden syrup or self-raising flour is, or what 471 and 1422 are doing in the ingredients? Scan it and find out.

Know what it is

In Chinese, a translated name and a short introduction: what it is, how it differs from similar products and how it's usually eaten. Ingredients are translated item by item, with the original English one tap away.

A health score from 0 to 100

The nutrition part follows the public Health Star Rating (HSR) algorithm; additives and processing make up the rest. Every point is explained in the app.

How scoring works →

Allergen alerts

Checked against the allergen categories required on Australian and New Zealand labels, including “may contain”. The original wording is always shown, and the pack has the final say.

“For you”

Add allergies, intolerances, pregnancy, shopping for a child or an older adult, or goals such as less sugar or less salt. Product pages then say whether it suits you, with the reasons and sources.

Reference prices

Prices and unit prices from different supermarkets, each from one store on one day, so you can compare. For the live price, jump to the supermarket's website.

Found something we don't have? Take 3 photos to add it and see it explained straight away. Each approved product earns 1 day of Premium.

Your health profile stays on your phone

Allergies and pregnancy are personal. Gotcha works out the “For you” result on your phone, so our servers don't need your health profile and never receive it.
